PROFILE
Dr Abhinand Potturi is a chief consultant in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with an immense experience in reconstruction of face, jaw bones, mouth and facial cosmetic surgery. He completed his under-graduation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and went on to specialize in Maxillofacial surgery (MDS) from the prestigious Government Medical College, Trivandrum.
He underwent advanced training in management of complex facial trauma, cleft lip/ cleft palate surgeries in the year 2009 from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. He has had international exposure in performing Facial cosmetic and jaw bone corrective surgeries (Orthognathic Surgeries) from renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan in 2014. After undergoing training in Microvascular anastomosis at Ganga Hospitals, Coimbatore, he went on to do his second international fellowship training in Microvascular reconstructive surgery of face and jaw bones from the eminent Peking University School of Stomatology, Beijing, China in the year 2017.

Dr Abhinand Potturi with his wide national and international exposure has a vast experience in managing complex facial trauma, facial bone fractures, facial cosmetic and jaw surgeries, oral cancer and facial reconstruction. His special interest lies in Microvascular reconstruction of Face, Head & neck region for defects arising due to cancer surgery, tumor resection and facial trauma. His interest in recent technological advancements like 3D printing, virtual surgical planning, and simulative surgery has helped his patients in getting the best treatment outcomes in facial cosmetic surgeries like orthognathic surgeries and facial reconstructive surgeries.
He is also an associate professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at SVS Institute of Dental Sciences, Mahabubnagar due to his passion in teaching, research and academics. Over the years he has trained many postgraduate students, guided their research work in facial surgery and co-authored many publications in national and international journals. He is an ardent speaker and delivered many keynote lectures at scientific meetings and has been a national faculty for prestigious AOCMF association, Switzerland.
