Significant credit is reserved for the way we have committed ourselves to the service of our patients and helping the hospital grow from strength to strength as years passed. The success and trust of people in our services and treatments prompted us to move into much larger premises in Nanalnagar back in 2001. This new, larger capacity space made it possible for Premier Hospital to increase the bed capacity to one hundred; a move which has was a standing proof of Dr Mahesh Marda and his team’s hard work and commitment towards their goals for Premier Hospital.
It was at this point that Premier Hospital was able to grow further and thus we were now able to provide patients super specialist consultation, in addition to secondary care management. With further development, Premier Hospital saw many leading specialists of the twin cities in the disciplines of Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopedics, Urology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Paediatrics, Neonatology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Plastic surgery, Cardiology, Accident & Emergency and Critical Care being associated with us
Such success did not stop Dr Mahesh Marda, as he still had the idea of changing the trends and ways in which healthcare was perceived and wanted to make further positive impacts in the field. With time, Dr.Mahesh Marda has built a hospital that caters to the health needs of the people, which meets with international standards, regulatory and the quality requirements for the best treatment possible for people
It is imperative we maintain our high standards at Premier Hospital and to do just that, our doctors, specialists and staff are well-trained in the field and readily available for the worst possible situations that may arise, without ever compromising on the quality of the service on offer.
For instance, the emergence of our Accidents & Emergency unit was to view the increasing incidence of road traffic accidents and cases requiring critical care, wherein the time of initiating the required care is vital. This has prompted Dr Mahesh Marda to make the new hospital ready for managing cases, which could be much complex and challenging, especially with doctors and specialists by our side who are specially trained to handle such situations.
Dr Siddharth Marda, an M.D in Emergency Medicine from SRMC, Chennai, is also a part of Dr Mahesh Marda’s panel and heads the Emergency Medicine department, and provide specialised care for Trauma and Emergency cases. Dr Siddharth Marda brings with him the grooming given to him by Prof Ramakrishnan at SRMC, Chennai and has the experience of working at BASILDON HOSPITAL, LONDON, U.K.
At Premier Hospital, we have many specialities but have, in recent years grown to be known for our Dialysis centre, Endoscopy department, NICU, PICU, Dental services and a CT Scan facility which has some of the state-of-the-art technology and equipment to treat patients.
Premier Hospital’s aim, in the long run, is to become not a stop-gap solution for illness but to take care of every aspect of a person’s recovery with an aim to get them ready and healthy.
Hospital Facilities
Acute Medical Care Unit (AMC)
Our AMCU is equipped with bedside diagnostics like X-ray, ECG, USG & Dialysis facilities with special isolation rooms. It has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 and the availability of a multi-disciplinary team with intensivists and a specially trained critical care team
In-Patient Services
Standard multifunctional beds are provided in all wards including AMC ensuring inpatient comfort with impeccable housekeeping. The hospital caters to all classes of patients offering them inpatient admissions in various categories of wards including the luxury rooms.
Accident & Emergency Centre
A state-of-the-art 24-hour emergency centre, equipped to handle any kind of casualty. The laboratory and radio diagnostic facilities are strategically located in proximity to the centre to ensure swift patient movement. Fully equipped critical care ambulance manned by paramedic staff.
NICU
Capable of providing primary level care to the sick premature newborn with facilities like oxygen therapy, phototherapy, intravenous fluid administration, and nasal CPAP along with invasive ventilation, providing parenteral nutrition and exchange transfusion. Out-Patient
Services Centrally air-conditioned outpatient department with 10 well-equipped consulting rooms. A separate patient waiting area, to maintain patient and visitor comfort. The OPD services are offered from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm to suit patient convenience. Well-trained executives are available at OP Reception to manage customer requests.
Dialysis
Well-equipped centre with dialysis machines to tackle renal emergencies and to provide hemodialysis to patients. Continuous monitoring of sick patients on dialysis is done throughout the dialysis procedure with the help of specialized monitoring by experienced Nephrologists and well-trained Dialysis Technicians.
Pharmacy
A 24x7 computerized pharmacy with all the essential drugs. The procurement is done from the source company directly to assure authenticity. Medicines are transported and stored in ideal temperature conditions and are sent to many departments within the hospital via pneumatic tubes to reduce human contact.
Laboratory
In-house laboratory with Histopathology and Cytopathology, Hematology, Microbiology and Biochemistry capabilities.
Operation Theatres
Three well-equipped state-of-the-art operation theatres with laminar flow, HEPA filter provision, LED OT Lights and central sterile services department
Imaging
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging facilities including digitalized x-ray, USG, MRI (1.5 Tesla), CT Scan and Echo.
