National Immunization Month Program 2018

by Premier Hospitals | August 2, 2018 |

Immunizations are the primary reason why today we don't fall sick that often, and is one of the reasons we are alive today, keeping many deadly viruses at bay. The concept of vast immunizations only evolved around 60-70 years ago, and in the last 50 years, in particular, it has saved billions of life worldwide and quite significantly in India as well. Each country of this world is doing its best to reach each citizen and provide with necessary vaccinations to maintain the overall health status of each nation. In many countries, due to many reasons, including a lack of development or education in general, coupled with the supplies of the necessary vaccinations. In India, mainly, there are plenty of areas, located remotely and even in the cities that can sometimes not access the required immunizations. Immunization and Vaccination The idea of the National Immunization Month is to spread awareness from all possible angles and explain the dire necessity of getting vaccinated. Immunizations are not only restricted to children, as even adults have a different set of vaccinations made available by the authorities and the healthcare department. Often the problems with various diseases occurring in India is the fact that, although children vaccination has been made readily available, the concept of adult immunization is still to hit full flow. This problem is mainly due to a lack of awareness among most people and the education required to understand what vaccinations they might be in need of. Reasons to get Vaccinated.
