- Electrocardiogram: An electrocardiogram also called an EKG or ECG is a test which records the electrical activity in the heart.
- Ambulatory ECG: This is a test which you might have probably witnessed in many movies or TV shows if you haven’t seen it for real. An Ambulatory ECG is a test where your heart rhythms are recorded while you perform a few exercises or physical activities. Small metal electrodes are attached to your chest which reads the rhythms and records them in the Holter monitor.
- Stress Test: This test records the changes in the rhythms when exercising and resting. It checks the performances and limitations of your heart.
- Echocardiogram: An Echocardiogram provides you with an ultrasound of the structure of your heart, its chambers and the surrounding areas.This test measures how much blood the heart is pumping and can detect any kind of inflammation in the heart.

Our “CARDIAC CATH LAB” With World-class Facilities
A “cardiac cath lab,” also called a cardiac catheterization lab is a special room where specialized equipment is available to perform minimally invasive tests and procedures to diagnose and treat certain cardiovascular diseases.
When a person encounters chest pain or any other symptoms related to heart disease, a heart specialist might suggest a cardiac catheterization to diagnose the precise problem. Premier Hospital offers to perform this minimally invasive procedure to diagnose and treat different heart problems, in our specially equipped catheterization labs.
Our cath lab provides world-class facilities with state-of-art technology and highly experienced doctors. We extended our cath lab facilities on Nov 16, 2019, which was inaugurated by our Chief guests Janab Kasusar Mohiuddin Sahib, MLA, and Janab Mohammed Naseeruddin Sahib, Corporator.
Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations – Cath labs contain imaging technology that helps an interventional cardiologist to observe how well the blood flowing from your heart to body parts and back to the heart. The diagnostic procedure involves guiding a catheter(a tiny tube) by the doctor through the arteries. Cardiac catheterizations help the cardiologists diagnose blocked or narrowed arteries due to the accumulation of fat, plaque etc. and also helps to find other problems associated with the arteries and heart. The build-up of fat might result in chest pain and heart attack
Interventional Cardiac Catheterizations – Many heart diseases have been treating in our CATH LAB at Premier Hospital with the help of interventional catheterization procedures, such as:
Coronary angioplasty and stent placement – It is popularly known as balloon angioplasty or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The procedure done by a cardiologist involves reopening the blocked artery by a small balloon. The balloon, attached to the catheter and guided to the blockage in the artery and inflated. Sometimes a coronary stent is placed to prevent narrowing or closing again in future.
The stent is a small wire that looks like a mesh tube or coil. some stents are even coated with anti-blocking medicine to prevent narrowing of arteries again.
Similarly, coronary atherectomy is a procedure in which the built-up plaque in the artery is removed using a rotating tip fixed at the end of the catheter. Premier Hospitals became the renowed heart speciality hospital in Toli Chowki, Hyderabad as we use advanced technology in our CATH LAB.
